The types and characteristics of aluminum alloy die casting are analyzed.

Aluminum alloy die casting is a kind of pure aluminum or aluminum alloy equipment which is produced by casting process. Aluminum or aluminum alloy parts of various shapes and sizes are usually called aluminum die castings. But different aluminum alloy diecasting will produce different kinds and effects.


The properties of aluminum alloy die castings are as follows: good mechanical properties at room temperature; strong corrosion resistance; poor casting performance; large fluctuation of mechanical properties and wall thickness effect; long-term use, due to aging effect, the plasticity of the alloy decreases, even cracking of the die castings; the tendency of stress corrosion cracking of die castings is also higher. Big class. The disadvantage of Al-Mg alloy partly counteracts its advantages and limits its application.


The mechanical properties of aluminum alloy die castings can be improved by natural aging. When the content of zinc is more than 10%, the strength of aluminum alloy die castings increases significantly. The disadvantage of this alloy is poor corrosion resistance, stress corrosion tendency and hot cracking during die casting. The common Y401 alloy has good fluidity and is easy to fill the cavity. The disadvantage is that Y401 alloy is easy to crack when the porosity is large and the content of silicon and iron is small.


Aluminum alloy has the characteristics of large solidification latent heat, large specific heat capacity and small linear shrinkage coefficient of silicon phase in the crystallization temperature interval alloy, so its casting performance is generally better than other aluminum alloys, and its filling capacity is also better, and the tendency of hot cracking and shrinkage porosity is also relatively small. The amount of brittle phase (silicon phase) in Al-Si eutectic is the least and the mass fraction is only about 10%. Therefore, the plasticity of Al-Si eutectic is better than that of other eutectic alloys. The remaining brittle phase can be further improved by modification.


Advantages of aluminum alloy die casting hot runner system

For transparent parts, thin parts, large plastic parts or high requirements of aluminum alloy die casting can show its advantages, and can produce larger products with smaller models.
